PROJECT

This project is part of the Tentemoz@s phase and integrated into Alma de Bosque, AHA's broader initiative.Tentemoz@s aims to highlight Asturian cultural heritage by connecting its cultural diversity with personal diversity, demonstrating that diversity enriches society.

THE PROJECT

The project aims to enhance the value of Asturian cultural heritage in rural areas, through the presentation of the hórreo in rural schools by people with functional diversity.

The project is a unique opportunity for the dissemination of the heritage that is rooted in us. This is not an ordinary dissemination project, but a creative and innovative proposal in line with current values, the SDGs and the 2030 Agenda:

  • The target groups are schoolchildren in rural Asturias, who are provided with references that link them to the land (rural schools as intangible heritage and demographic challenge).
  • Asturian ethnological heritage represents the value of diversity (cultural diversity) like no other.
  • The monitors are people with functional diversity of a psychological nature who embody the value of personal diversity.
  • The programme incorporates the environmental factor. The Asturian hórreo is an example of undoubted value in environmental education.
  • The transmission is, to a large extent, gamified.
  • Asturian will be used in its different variants (intangible heritage).
  • The project is carried out with special attention to the gender perspective, achieving the necessary balance in the team and the monitors (gender perspective).

Ethnographic Heritage
Rural School

The aim of this project is diversity, its embedding in the very heart of Asturian society.

OBJECTIVES

1. To disseminate and enhance the value of Asturian ethnographic heritage (hórreos and paneras) through a didactic project.

2. To promote the cultural and social revitalisation of the environment and the rural community.

3. To generate an exchange of knowledge and know-how between people with different abilities and pupils at infant and primary school levels.

4. To promote the social and occupational integration of people with different abilities, thus moving towards a diverse, enriching and inclusive society.

5. Encourage support for people with diversity and their integration into society.

6. Generate an educational impact that enriches and educates students not only in ethnographic heritage, but also fosters respect for people with diversity and their role in society.

The joint contemplation of the elements that define the project conveys a clear idea of its possible effects due to its exceptional value and innovative character:

        • The effect on people with functional diversity will be exceptional in terms of their integration in the labour market in a field unexplored so far in Asturias, contributing, in addition, to their self-esteem and giving them a clear reference of what their place in our society can be.
      • The effect on heritage will also be important as the dissemination will have an impact on schoolchildren, who will include it in the imaginary that will accompany them in their adult life, linking them emotionally to their origins.
      • The effect on schoolchildren will be exceptional, because apart from the knowledge about their roots, they will become clearly aware at an early age (and therefore open-minded) of the real value of people regardless of their physical or psychological characteristics.

The joint contemplation of the elements that define the project conveys a clear idea of its possible effects due to its exceptional value and its innovative character.
